New Day New Beginning

today was a very important day.. another chapter has opened in my life.

Lord…give me the grace to be strong.

the patience to be meek.

the heart for compassion.

and courage to not back down.

Lord.. give me the character to endure.

the mind to understand.

the pain to remember.

and suffering to grow.

Lord give me the sunshine for remembrance.

the rain for guidance.

the wind for comfort.

the cold for embrace.

Lord give me your hand for my fortress.

your song for my heart beat.

your thought for my purpose.

your smile for my happiness.

I give you my life.  I give you my trust.  I give you my pain.  I give you my future.  I give you my hopes.  I give you my aspirations.  I give you my shame.  I give you my glory.  I give you my tear, my breath, my shout, my echoes, my sight, my heart, my blood, my sweat, my pride, my soul, my past, my present, my yesterday, my tomorrow, my love, my fear, my doubt, my insecurity, my weakness, my desperation, thought, concern, joy, laughter, plead, pardon. 

I give you my trust dear Lord.  You hear my heart… only you can hear it clearly.

Let me always remember that I am nothing without you.

Boxing In America

Jake and I are both boxers.. he wanted to spar so we got together and went a couple of rounds.  Sorry to say.. i havent had a match since June..but i tried to hang in there.  He is really good.. but my technique is better..and quicker.  I look forward to our next match.
